How do you get to Prince George's Stadium?

Prince George's Stadium is located just off of Route 50 on Route 301 in Bowie, MD. The stadium is easily accessed by connecting to Route 50 east off of the Capitol Beltway or by accessing Route 3 south (turns into Route 301) off of Interstate 97. How can I perform the National Anthem at a Baysox game?

The Baysox hold annual audtions for those interested in performing the national anthem at a Baysox home game. The tryout date for 2018 is Saturday, March 17, 2018 and is held rain or shine at Prince George's Stadium. Gates to the ballpark open at 9 a.m. for registration and auditions begin at 9:30 am. Keep checking www.baysox.com for further details.

Auditions are conducted on a first come, first audition basis. Tapes, cd's, videos or private auditions are not accepted or condcuted. All interested performers need to attend the audition day opportunity. The Baysox do not schedule audition times. All auditions are to be performed live without word/song sheets. Please be prepared to perform The Star Spangled Banner in its entirety (the traditional version heard at all sporting events).  Groups (over 10 people) interested in performing should contact the Baysox Group Sales Department by calling the Baysox Offices at (301) 805-6000.



How many fans does Prince George's Stadium hold?

Prince George's Stadium holds 10,000 seated fans and is the largest Minor League ballpark in the state of Maryland.



Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?

The Baysox encourage you to purchase your tickets in advance for all home Baysox games. This will help alleviate waiting in lines at the ticket office on game day. The Baysox also encourage those wishing to purchase Box (100 level) or Reserved Seat (200 level behind home plate) tickets to order their tickets in advance as seating is limited, especially for games with post-game fireworks.



How can I purchase Baysox tickets?

Individual game Baysox tickets can be purchased online by CLICKING HERE or by calling the Baysox Ticket Office at (301) 464-4865 or in person at the Baysox Ticket Office. Individual game tickets typically go on sale toward the end of March.

Monday - Sunday: 10:00 am - Top of the 7th Inning
Fireworks Nights: 10:00 am - the completion of the Fireworks
When The Baysox are Away: Monday - Friday: 10 am - 5 pm, Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Will Call - Tickets purchased less than 14 days prior to the event date will be held at the Will Call window located at the Baysox Ticket Office and can be claimed on the night of the event. A Valid ID from the original purchaser is required for pick up.



What Major League team are the Bowie Baysox affiliated with?

The Baysox have been the Class Double-A Minor League Baseball Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles since their inaugural season in 1993.



Does my child need a ticket?

All fans attending regular season Baysox games are required to have a ticket to enter Prince George's Stadium. Children ages two and under are admitted free for all Baysox games for General Admission Seating. Those receiving free admission need to pick up a free ticket on game day only at the ticket office before entering the ballpark.



When is the Baysox Team Store open?

The Baysox Team Store opens one hour before the scheduled game time. The Team Store stays open until the end of the 9th inning or the conclusion of the game, whichever comes sooner. Fans can check out our great line of available merchandise on-line by CLICKING HERE.



What time do the stadium gates open?

Gates to Prince George's Stadium typically open one hour prior to the scheduled start of the event. Exceptions may be announced for special promotional events.

7:05 p.m. game - Gates open at 6:00 p.m.
6:35 p.m. game - Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
1:35 p.m. game - Gates open at 12:30 p.m.
11:05 a.m. game - Gates open at 10:00 a.m.



How long do Baysox games usually last?

In the Eastern League (as well as in Major League Baseball) teams play a 9-inning game (and extra innings if tied) without a time limit. While most 9-inning games are played in approximately 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 hours, some games may take longer and some may be completed more quickly. In the event of a double-header, teams play consecutive 7-inning games with an approximate 30-minute break in between games.



Do the players sign autographs?

Many players spend time signing autographs before and after the game. The best time to get autographs is usually before the game starts. Eastern League rules prohibit players from signing autographs once the umpires have taken the field and at anytime during the game.



How much is parking at the game?

Parking for Bowie Baysox home games is FREE! Please see event details for non-Baysox home games for parking information, fees and restrictions.



Do you allow fans to bring food into the ballpark?

Outside food and drinks cannot be brought into Prince George's Stadium for any event per Eastern League rules.



Do you allow smoking in the ballpark?

Prince George's Stadium is a SMOKE FREE facility. Smoking is not permitted within the confines of the Stadium gates. Smoking is permitted outside of the main stadium gates in the designated area. Please be sure to have your hand stamped and have your ticket stub available in order to gain re-entry to the stadium.



How can I have a special announcement made over the PA system during the game?

Fans can arrange to have a special announcement made during the game by submitting the request online by CLICKING HERE AT LEAST 48 hours prior to the start of the game you wish the announcement to be made. The cost for an announcement is $10.00 and all proceeds benefit local youth charities. Payment for the announcement is due at the time of submission.

Announcements are typically made after the national anthem and before the game begins. This is typical but not always the case. The Baysox reserve the right to disallow or modify anouncements for any reason.



Do you have an ATM at the ballpark? Yes. The ATM is located inside Louie's Locker Room (Baysox Team Shop) to the right of the main entrance of the stadium.



How can I tell if the game is rained out?

Bowie Baysox home games are rarely rained out and are almost never cancelled before game time. Fans are welcome to call the stadium office to inquire about the weather, but more than likely they will be instructed that the game is still on. In the event that a game is canceled, the information will be posted on our website, www.baysox.com, posted on our Official Facebook Page, posted on our Offical Twitter Feed and posted on the Baysox route 301 roadside marquee as well as released to the local media.



Is Prince George's Stadium Handicap Accessible?

Yes - Each side of the stadium is equipped with a concrete ramp for access to the Box (100 level) seating area. The General Admission seating areas are on the main entrance level thus not requiring ramp access. Each section of seating throughout the stadium (General Admission & Reserved Box) have wheelchair spaces available. Can I tryout to play for the Bowie Baysox?

The Bowie Baysox are the Class Double-A Minor League Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. The Orioles are responsible for drafting, signing, training and developing all of the players and coaches that are assigned to play for the Bowie Baysox. The Baysox front office staff does not assist with signing, coaching or training the players on the Baysox roster.
