Alcoholic Beverage Policy - Pennsylvania law requires that you must be at least 21 years of age to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages. Fans wishing to purchase beer at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park must first obtain a wristband from an ID station located on the first-level concourse. In order to obtain a wristband, a valid ID must be presented. No fan will be served at any concession stand without wristband. We reserve the right to refuse any sale. There is a two-beer maximum per ID. Please drink responsibly, and NEVER drink and drive.

We have established the following ground rules for alcohol sales to ensure that the enjoyable ballpark experience is not spoiled by the behavior of inappropriate individuals: 1. It is illegal to consume alcoholic beverages on the sidewalks or in the parking lots; anyone doing so will be subject to arrest. 2. Alcoholic beverages and controlled or illegal substances may not be brought into the stadium. 3. Drunk or disorderly fans will be denied admittance to the stadium. 4. Intoxicated or under-aged fans will not be permitted to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. 5. Drunk or disorderly fans inside the stadium will be ejected and may be subject to arrest. 6. Fans using foul or abusive language will be subject to ejection. 7. Fans interfering with play in any manner, including the throwing of objects onto the field or entering the field, will be subject to arrest.

Animals - Fans are not permitted to bring animals into Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, with the exception of guide or service dogs for disabled fans, which are fully certified by Pennsylvania and are in actual use. The Spikes do occasionally host "Bark in the Park" promotions, where fans are allowed to bring their dog to the game. Please see the Spikes' promotional calendar for these dates.

ATM - A BB&T ATM is located inside the "Off the Rack Outfitters" team store.

Autographs - Getting autographs is part of the fun of attending a Spikes game, and the players and coaches are usually available before and after the games. Please be respectful when asking for autographs. As game time approaches, they do have to prepare for the game, and we ask all fans to return to their seats 15 minutes prior to the start of the game. According to New York-Penn League and Major League Baseball rules, players are not allowed to sign any autographs once the game has started.

Automobile Assistance - Guests who need automobile assistance should contact the nearest Parking Attendant or Guest Services Representative or go to the Collegiate Pride Customer Service Center located on the Concourse Level behind home plate.


Bag Search - All bags are subject to search upon entry and within the ballpark. Prohibited items should be disposed of in trash containers or returned to one's vehicle.

Banners - Spikes fans are encouraged to bring banners and signs to Medlar Field at Lubrano Park to show their support for the team. Signs that obstruct the views of guests, interfere with batters, are derogatory or obscene, or do not pertain to the Spikes will be removed by security.

Batting Practice - Ballpark gates at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park open one hour prior to game time, which generally coincides with the end of batting practice.

Birthday/Anniversary Messages - The Spikes can help celebrate a birthday or anniversary by displaying the occasion on our videoboard during the game. For more information about birthday, anniversary and other celebratory messages please call (814) 272-1711 or visit the Collegiate Pride Customer Service Center, located behind home plate on the main concourse level.

Broadcasts - Fans can enjoy all 76 regular season games on the Spikes Radio Network.

Bus Service - Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) bus service is available to and from Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. A CATA bus stop is located just outside the ballpark. Please call (814) 238-CATA or visit for bus loop schedules and other information.


Camera/Video Equipment - Guests are welcome to bring still and hand-held video cameras into Medlar Field at Lubrano Park as long as the equipment does not interfere with another guest's enjoyment of the game. Guests wishing to use equipment that requires the use of a tri-pod at a fixed position in the stadium must contact the Spikes Media Relations Department for permission.

Cellular Phones - The use of cellular phones is permitted at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, provided such use does not interfere with other guests' enjoyment of the ball game. Please be courteous and refrain from making loud or lengthy calls in the seating areas.

Child Ticket Policy - Children ages two and under are not required to have a ticket for a game. The general rule of thumb is that if a child is small enough to sit on a parent's lap, then the child does not need to have a ticket. However, if the child wants to receive a promotional giveaway, they must have their own game ticket.

Charitable Donations - The Spikes are proud to support charitable causes by donating tickets, merchandise or ballpark experiences. Requests by mail should be directed to the following address:

All requests must be submitted on letterhead at least six weeks prior to the event. The letter must include a contact person's name, phone number and a deadline for response.

Community Outreach - The State College Spikes are committed to an involvement in the local community. The team strives to create programs that will enrich the local area, and encourage participation from neighbors - both residents and businesses. The Spikes also make efforts to contribute to existing community events, adding a unique style, while establishing and maintaining strong community relationships. Concessions - Great food and drink is available throughout Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Concession stands open at the same time as the gates on game days, and vendors circulate through the stands before and during the game. Specialty kiosk stands serve unique foods and beverages. No outside food or beverages are allowed inside the ballpark.

Conduct - The State College Spikes are committed to providing our guests with an enjoyable, safe atmosphere. Our staff will proactively intervene to support a family-oriented environment where all guests can enjoy the baseball experience free from the following behaviors:

  • Foul or abusive language or gestures
  • Intoxication or other signs of impairment
  • Any disruption to the progress of the game by guest's actions or unauthorized person on the playing field
  • Smoking or tobacco use inside the ballpark.

If someone interferes with your enjoyment of a game while at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, please contact your nearest usher or other Spikes representative for assistance.

Credit Cards - MasterCard, Visa and Discover are accepted at the Spikes Ticket Office, "Off the Rack Outfitters" and all ballpark concession windows.


Diaper Changing Stations - Infant diaper changing tables are available in all restrooms at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, including the family bathroom located on the third base side.

Directions to Medlar Field at Lubrano Park

  • From Bellefonte: Take PA-150. PA 150 becomes E. College Ave./PA-26. Turn right onto Porter Road. Medlar Field is at the top of the hill, across from Beaver Stadium.
  • From Altoona and Points South: Take I-99 North. Take Penn State University Exit and merge onto Park Ave. Turn left onto Porter Road. Medlar Field is located on the left side of the street, just beyond Beaver Stadium.
  • From I-80 East and West: Merge onto I-99 South via Exit 161 toward U.S. 322/Bellefonte. Take the exit toward Innovation Park/Penn State University. Merge onto Park Avenue and turn left onto Porter Road. Medlar Field is located on the left side of the street, just beyond Beaver Stadium.
  • From Harrisburg/Philadelphia and Points East: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike to I-283 North via Exit 246 toward Harrisburg/Hershey. I-283 becomes I-83 North. Merge onto I-81 South via Exit 51-A. Take U.S. 22/322 West to Exit 67 toward State College. Take PA-26 Exit. Turn left onto E. College Ave. Turn right onto Porter Road. Medlar Field is at the top of the hill, across from Beaver Stadium.




Elevators - For the convenience of our guests in the suite level of the ballpark, an elevator is located on the first-level concourse, just outside the team office doors. For Picnic Pavilion guests requiring special needs, a service elevator is located inside the picnic area.

Exchange of Tickets/Rainouts - Once a ticket is purchased, we are unable to exchange it for another game or provide a refund. The only exception is in the event the required 4 1/2 innings of a game not are completed or when a game is postponed due to weather. In these instances, tickets can be exchanged for tickets of equal or lesser value to a future regular season home game, based upon availability. Please contact the Spikes Ticket Office at (814) 272-1711 with questions on the ticket exchange policy.

Exit and Re-entry - Guests may leave Medlar Field at Lubrano Park at any time through any of the exit gates. Guests may re-enter the stadium only after obtaining a re-entry stamp from an attendant at any of the exit gates.

Field Dimensions - As a Major League Baseball affiliate, all field dimensions at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park are in compliance with the standards set forth by MLB.

  • Left Field: 325'
  • Left Center Field (BB&T Nook): 410'
  • Center Field: 399'
  • Right Center Field: 373'
  • Right Field: 320'
  • Medlar Field's right field fence stands 18.55 feet tall in reference to the year that Penn State University was founded. The remainder of the fence is 7 feet tall in front of the Pepsi Picnic Pavilion in left field and 8 feet tall in all other areas.


First Aid Station/Medical Attention - For the protection of our Guests, trained medical persons are on duty for all games at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Should you have a medical emergency or need medical assistance, please visit the First Aid Station located on the first-base side of the first-level concourse or contact your nearest usher or Spikes official.

Food - In compliance with New York-Penn League rules, fans are not permitted to bring any coolers, containers, outside food or beverages into Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

Foul Balls - Fans are welcome to keep any foul ball hit into the seats. At no time should a foul ball or home run ball be thrown back on the field. Violators are subject to ejection and possible arrest. Any guest interfering with a ball in play will be subject to ejection from the ballpark. Fans should always remain alert to the danger of thrown or batted balls.

Fundraising Opportunities - Each year, dozens of sports teams, non-profit groups and other organizations turn to the Spikes to assist in their fundraising campaigns. The Spikes offer a fundraising program which allows groups to sell Spikes tickets to raise money for their organizations. Fundraising with the Spikes is not only fun and easy, but also offers the unique opportunity to highlight your group or your top individual fundraiser with an on-field ceremony, based on availability. Game Times, Standard - The Spikes standard home game times are 7:05 p.m. for Monday to Saturday games and 6:05 p.m. for Sunday home contests. Click here to view the 2016 Spikes schedule. As a reminder, there are occasional exceptions to those standard game times and all published game times are subject to change.

Gate Opening Time - Gates open to the general public one hour prior to the start of each Spikes' home game unless otherwise noted on the schedule. Season ticket holders are permitted to enter the ballpark 20 minutes prior to the general public, and group members are permitted to enter the ballpark 10 minutes prior to the general public.

Gift Cards - The Spikes offer gift cards which can be redeemed for tickets, food or merchandise throughout the ballpark. These cards can be purchased at "Off the Rack Outfitters" at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

Group Tickets - Groups of 20 or more are eligible for discounts off regular ticket prices, as well as additional benefits and experiences, such as first pitch opportunities, merchandise, early entry into the ballpark and other prizes. Handicapped Access - Medlar Field at Lubrano Park is completely wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair patrons should enter through the Main Gate on Porter Road, and either access their field level seats through the concourse, or take the elevator, located on the first base side of the stadium, to the luxury suite level. Handicapped Parking - Handicapped parking is available at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Upon arriving at the ballpark, ask the attendant at the parking entrance for directions to the nearest handicapped parking spaces.


Individual Tickets - Individual ticket sales refer to game tickets that are not part of a Season Ticket Plan, a Mini-Plan or a Group purchase. Spikes individual tickets can be purchased in one of three ways:

Kids Club - The First National Bank Spikes Kids Club is FREE for children 12 and under. The Spikes' Kids Club entitles members to numerous benefits, including game tickets and unique members-only experiences and events with Spikes players and mascots. Learn more by clicking here.

Kids Run the Bases - Following each Friday, Saturday and Sunday Spikes' home game at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, kids 14 and under are invited onto the field to run the bases thanks to Clinical Outcomes Group, Inc.! Families wishing to participate should begin lining up in the ninth inning at the top of Sections 108-109. Kids will then be ushered down the steps and onto the field to run the bases before exiting on the gate next to the third-base dugout. Parents are no permitted to run the bases, unless they are with a very small child. The Spikes reserve the right to postpone Kids Run the Bases in the event of inclement weather.


LionCash - LionCash is accepted at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park to purchase tickets at the Box Office, and can also be used to purchase Spikes' team merchandise at "Off the Rack Outfitters".

Lost Children - Lost children at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park should be escorted to the nearest supervisor, usher or uniformed security guard. Lost children can also report to, or be taken to, the Collegiate Pride Customer Service Center to request a PA announcement.

Lost and Found - Any found items should be deposited at the Collegiate Pride Customer Service Center on the main concourse behind home plate. The Medlar Field at Lubrano Park lost and found is located in the Front Office, adjacent to the Main Lobby. On non-game days, the office is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To contact the lost and found, please call (814) 272-1711.

Lost or Stolen Tickets - Fans with lost or stolen ticket problems should call the Spikes' Ticket Office at (814) 272-1711 or 877-99-SPIKES in advance of the game(s), or go directly to the Ticket Office on the day of a game.


Major League Baseball Affiliation - As a member of the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues, the Spikes are directly affiliated with Major League Baseball. On August 13, 2014, the Spikes announced the extension of their Player Development Contract (PDC) with the St. Louis Cardinals for two more years through at least the 2016 season. This means that all Spikes players are under contract to the Cardinals. Additionally, all 14 clubs in the New York-Penn League, of which the Spikes are a member, have similar PDC's with other Major League Baseball clubs.

Mascots - The Spikes mascot team consists of Ike the Spike, the BB&T Nookie Monster, Bob the Baseball Dog (a real-life Labrador Retriever) and LuCKy the Lion. Not only do the Spikes' mascots entertain fans at the ballpark, but they are committed to being ambassadors in the community. National Anthem Singers - The Spikes offer open tryouts to fill their roster of National Anthem singers for all 38 home games at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Typically, the Spikes will hold these open tryouts in the spring. Be sure to visit each year in March and April for this date. Office Hours - The Spikes business office is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday on non-game days. On game days Monday through Friday, the office is open from 9 a.m. until one hour prior to the start of the game. The Spikes Ticket Office is also open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday on non-game days, 9 a.m. through the end of the game on game days Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. through the end of the game on game days Saturday and Sunday during the season.


Parking - The parking lot at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park is operated and staffed by the Pennsylvania State University. All vehicles entering the Medlar Field at Lubrano Park parking areas may be subject to search. There is a $5.00 charge for parking in all lots. Pepsi Picnic Pavilion - Located down the third base line, the Pepsi Picnic Pavilion is available to groups of 20 or more and offers a truly unique food and entertainment experience. Pocket Schedules - Each year, the Spikes print over 250,000 pocket schedules which are distributed free throughout the community and at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. The Spikes are always happy to send pocket schedules to fans by mail. If you would like to receive a Spikes' pocket schedule, please e-mail, and include your mailing address. Promotional Items/Dates - The Spikes give away special items at specially designated games throughout the season. The items are usually designated for a specific group (children 14 and under, adults 18 and over, or all fans) and in a specific quantity (the first 1,000 fans, the first 1,500 fans, etc.). Gates open one hour before game time for the general public, and giveaway items are distributed beginning at that time. Fans are only permitted to receive one giveaway item per ticket at one time.

Radio Broadcasts - All regular season games can be heard on flagship station Newsradio 1390 WRSC. Steve Jones, the voice of Penn State football and men's basketball, serves as the team's lead play-by-play broadcaster. All home and away broadcasts are also streamed live here at here for more information on the Spikes Radio Network, presented by Penn State Sports Medicine.

Rainouts/Rain Checks - In the event a game is postponed due to rain or inclement weather, your ticket stub becomes a rain check which can be exchanged in person at the Spikes' Ticket Office for a ticket of equal or lesser value to any remaining regular season home game, subject to availability. The Spikes do not offer cash refunds for unused or rainout tickets.

Replays - The Spikes are proud to have the ability to show replays of exciting plays on the Main Scoreboard. However, due to Minor League Baseball and Major League Baseball rules the following may not be shown: pitched balls not put into play (called balls and strikes), force plays at second base, "bean" balls and fights/arguments. Close plays may be shown once and only at regular speed.

Roster - The Spikes' roster is controlled by our Major League Baseball affiliate, the St. Louis Cardinals, who hold the contract rights to each player and make the decision to assign players to State College. Generally, the Spikes' roster of players is not set until just a few days before Opening Day. To view the club's current roster, click here.


Scalping - Spikes tickets may not be resold or offered for resale in a manner or at a price in violation of any Federal, State, or local law or regulation. Under Pennsylvania law, the maximum premium price for a ticket is the established price, including applicable sales tax, plus five dollars. Under penalty of law, an unlicensed vendor within 1,500 feet of Medlar Field at Lubrano Park may not resell tickets.

Season Tickets - Spikes' season ticket holders not only are guaranteed the same great seats for all 38 regular season home games, but they also receive a long list of exciting benefits and memorable experiences. Smoking - Smoking is prohibited in all areas of Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Those wishing to smoke must do so in the designated areas outside the ballpark gates. Fans wishing to smoke during the game must obtain a hand stamp to exit and re-enter the ballpark.

Souvenirs - Spikes and Penn State souvenirs can be purchased inside "Off the Rack Outfitters", the official team store of the Spikes at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Spikes souvenirs can also be purchased on-line by visiting the Spikes On-Line Store.

Suites - Entertain your clients, co-workers or friends in one of the ballpark's exclusive suites. Suites can be rented by individuals or groups on a single-game basis throughout the season or for non-gameday events, such as football tailgates, meetings or other special occasions. Suites combine first-class service with state-of-the-art amenities. Based on the size of your group or event, you can choose either the 40- or 80-person "Party Suite" or the 20-person "Owner's Suite".

Individuals wishing to tour the ballpark can do so during select publicized events throughout the calendar year.


Umbrellas - Umbrellas of all shapes and sizes are permitted at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park as long as they do not interfere with other fans' enjoyment of the game.

Ushers - Ushers are stationed throughout the ballpark to assist fans at their seats and to enforce ballpark rules and regulations. If someone is interfering with your enjoyment of the game, please contact your nearest usher. Please treat our ushers with courtesy and respect. By enforcing the rules, they are making the ballpark a safer and more comfortable, family-friendly environment for all our guests.

Will Call Window - Will Call orders are tickets left by the Club, tickets purchased via mail, phone, or Internet after the mailing deadline, and tickets left by a third party. To pick up any of these tickets, go to the Will Call Window at the Spikes' Ticket Office, beginning one and a half hours before game time. Fans must show proper photo identification to pick up tickets. Will Call orders must be left under the name of the person who will pick them up.
